It seems that the scam caller called off before I could put it down. I could not find any Scottish accents in the calls, and there were a lot of clicks on the phone line. I suspect that the caller was from abroad, and the number is actually a spoof. Be careful.
I am sick & tired of these people who are constantly intruding into our lives with scams of all kinds, whenever the fancy takes them. They are really bad & should be prosecuted. When is the united kingdom government going to act against these villains???? Definitely DANGEROUS.

Telephone with a foreign accent saying that it was a BT call. Replied that it sounded like a scammer and the phone did not proceed.
After I hung up the phone, I noticed that the ringing was very authentic, including the usual statement about recording the call and all our agents being busy. Another one of those calls from someone you know nothing about probably with some fault with your computer or other telesales scam. I've had loads from those that change numbers every time you don't answer it. This is one of them.
