As the first report dated 20/06/2018. A call to British Telecom was made from Jason; I told him not to be so stupid, and to go away. There was a further ring around 30 minutes later, which I ignored.
Called three times this afternoon.
Although both rings are hanging up as soon as I answer, I think they can't employ enough con-artists to deal with the volume of calls their own system is generating. It will be the usual 'your internet has been hacked' con so don't give them any information at all, unless you are
Some person is probably wearing a hijab but calling themselves Freda or some such name. Bt Openreach is concerned about their internet connection. I had a few choice words to say and they were largely as cheeky as me! For a change, I told them not to call again and slammed down the phone
The BT Openreach phonebook had the name "Openreach" in it, but I couldn't find the Internet connection in my phonebook. Other callers have also been hacked.
Today, a person called Jennifer. I questioned her name at which point they told me to f—- off. I did not use to be a racist, but I am moving rapidly in that direction.
The pain in the backside continues to ring my elderly mother who has no clue about the internet and no internet connection. They worried the life out of her and are still very shaken after the fifth ring in 24 hours. They are registered with TPS but they don't seem bothered.
Agent called today before 9am so explained the rules regarding cold calling times and that they are breaking these rules. The Asian person went on to tell me that my internet has been hacked and that I needed to turn on my computer. Calming told him to do 1 and I'm not with openreach and to
Phoned two times, purporting to be calling from BT Openreach and said my Internet had been hacked, told them to **** off.
Called three times this morning, and each time I was told to call back in an hour.
I picked up the phone and there was no answer. A lot of these calls are apparently directed from the foreign sub continent, using local (UK) area codes. I don't want to answer any of these calls, because I'm surprised and disappointed by the racist comments others have made. It's not necessary
Asian person tells me their BT broadband would be down for 24 hours. I told them this was bullshit, as I am a Sky customer!!
Call but didn't get through to the person on the other end. Obviously an annoyance, but it keeps ringing at least twice an hour. Can someone put an end to this?
Women called my wife and said they were with but openreach and that the internet would be down for seven days because of people using our server in Tokyo and China 1 scammer its location was Maidstone.
I am fed up with getting useless information sent on the new privacy policy. I can't do anything about these scammers invading our privacy in our own homes. I am disgusted. I am tortured with at least three of these calls every day. Please someone do something about this.
I told the Western Oriental Gentleman who called from Openreach to say my internet would be disconnected that they were a fraudsters and should be b****r off. I am just sick of these people calling me. They would be better going off somewhere to dig a well.
BT Openreach needs to snip this phoneline in the exchange so that scammers can't use it.
These calls use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK, and are untraceable. If you try to return a ring to an undisclosed number or press a button on the call, you may end up being scammed.
The scammer is a person who uses deceit and trickery to take advantage of someone.
