I received this message which froze my screen and asked for all sorts of details, then said my computer had been hacked and asked for my debit credit card and other personal information. Fortunately, I caught on and didn't give them out.

They put a audio message and threat upon the screen in the form of a pop up. Then, they ask you to ring the numbers provided on the screen. After you do, they control your computer with your permission. Then, you hear a message telling you that you have viruses.

Do not call them! Just scan your pc for viruses and should resolve it after a restart, they say they want remote access but won't show you any proof of who they are etc... Which is when they hang up! Don't be fooled they are conning thousands out there.

I got a message on my screen asking me to call numbers, but I didn't know what model it was. Then it dawned on me that it was a scam. I put the phone down and Google the numbers. That led me here. I thought it was dubious that it was really a scam.
