claim to be from Microsoft & asked if I was main pc user then they hang up
Received a ring from Lloyd & White insurance, my policy provider, as part of their annual practice to discuss policy renewal in advance.
I received a call from Corgi Homeplan regarding a cancellation of my direct debit, but I assured them that I had not cancelled anything and that there must be some mistake.
Phoned before 9am, the person was annoyingly irritating.
I was almost certainly scammed when I claimed to be from Amazon and said that I had been debited £300 for an I telephone and that if I had not, they could cancel it. I stopped the ring when they wanted me to execute a url from my browser.
Harrassing people.
Telephone rang at home but no one answered, and an answerphoneanswered telephoner but they left no message.
Just had a ring from this phone number stating that I had ordered a new iPhone from Amazon for £399. If I had not placed this order, press one to talk to Amazon. I'm guessing if I did this it would put myself through to someone posing as Amazon who would ask for my credit card details to
I didnt talk when he hung up.
The scammer said, "Thank you for placing the order with Amazon. You have been charged £350. I just hung up."
Amazon fraudsters are stealing customers' money.
Worried. The pre-recorded voice informed me that fraud was suspected on my credit card and bank account. I should press and hold 1 to cancel the transaction. Yeah!
Called to claim that Amazon and that we were about to be charged £329. Amazed that they were able to use a local failing code! Clearly we put the telephone down.
I received a ring from this person and I called them back numerous times, but no one ever answered the call. Obviously, this was a scam!
