Phishing Phone calls
MY HERMES txt message saying I had miss a delivery n needed to reschedule . It’s a scammer to get your details . I hadn’t ordered anything that was due for delivery by MY HERMES . Looks authentic till you click onto details for redelivery then yourtransfered to a phishing site . MY HERMES would usualktleaveyou a calling credit card to say they had miss you .
Came from a numbers that was alleging to be leaving a voice mail, I was available there was no miss caller. It may tried to access Google PLay, I have a couple of bits disabled so got an error message instead. It had an embedded wed address masl .cn (I put the space in, I strongly advise not to use it) As far as I am aware, that is China destination. I could be incorrect with that, so I leave this here for better people than myself to do the research. Make your own mind up but I blocked it. I am
I got a SMS message at 4am this morning, purporting to be from 'MyHermes' saying that I need to re-schedule a delivery that I had missed, by going to a site [https://hermes.item-tracking-online.com/] I tested the site on a secure computer & discovered that it is infected with phishing virus. I wanted to play-along, so when it asked myself to confirm my postcode, I entered 1 that doesn't exist. It confirmed that I had indeed miss a delivery, & invited myself to re-schedule. Unfortunat
I received a SMS message from this numbers saying "LLOYDSBANK: Confirmation you set up a new recipient on 07/10 at 19:32:52 from your A/C. If this was NOT you please visit: https://lloyds.alert-mobile-login.com I presume this is a phishing SMS to get my details.
Asian man, had my name etc, said it was not a sales or survey & would only take 30/40 seconds. they then asked my age! Just got to be phishing as when I said they shouldn't be calling myself & I was reporting ring they hang up. scammer suspect.
