Received a message via WhatsApp from this phone number to be from someone who was my child who had broken their telephone & taken it to a store to be fixed & the store had loaned them a telephone in the meantime with this number. Definitely not from anyone in my family who is my child.

It seems that the phone call they made before I could put it down was a scam. The phoneline seems to be full of clicks, and I suspect that a spoofed number is actually coming from abroad. Be careful when using this phone service.
