We have never heard of House Protection Services, but according to our 98-year-old grandmother, they owe them £149. We asked them how they sleep at night, and they said they don't know.
As well as home guard and using mobile telephone numbers, also go by the name homeguard.
My apologies - correction to previous post - should read House Protect - not Home Protect.
A company called Home Protection Services claims they owe the company £149 when they don't, and another company is preying on elderly people.
The telephone rang the manager and he said we owed £149 at the home.
They did not sleep that night and ended up paying the next day when the arrears department called & spoke to her in what they perceived to be a threatening manner. Now trying to pursue this.

I was called on the 21st of May from a company state to become a phone blocker service that I had signed up to a little while before and the balance of £149.99 was now due for international calls. After stating that I didn't want to go ahead, they became very aggressive and said it
The elderly mother in law received a sign for letter regarding home appliance package which they had not signed up for. They were unable to contact them in anyway as there was a fault on the phoneline and they did not respond to emails. Worse still, they had now deducted £149.99 from her bank account
My elderly grandmother was contacted by her bank who stopped two transactions of £149.99 by these people, as they looked suspicious. Also be careful of Privacy Protect Ltd who called & convinced her to pay £149.99 with her debit credit card just days before these people took money without her consent.
Anyone who has had a ring from this company should log the details with either Action Fraud & ICO as this is the only way to stop them. If these cases are correct, then it could be demanding money with menaces! Report them now!

This company called my 82 year old Mum yesterday and seemed to have her Barclaycard number. They said that they were from BT & would prevent annoyance call to her home over the next 5 years if they continued to pay the premium of £149.99. They were confused & said yes. I managed to
I've been called numerous times, the first time saying I wanted nothing to do with it, then I had a lot of call from that numbers which didn't answer when I picked up the phone, & just recently they got £159.00 from myself by deceit, & making myself think they were some other
Scammed my elderly Grandmother into paying £149.99 over the phone with her debit card by telling her that she would receive a rebate for the purchase.
My elderly father has been scammed by other companies. They are now a bit more wary and has told them they are not paying but the last telephoner said they would pass this on to the arrears collectors if they doesn't pay. They seem to alternate between pleasant and nasty calls.
House Protect, a trading name of Home Protection Services UK Ltd, tried to scam my octogenarian father that they had an expiring annoyance call preventon plan with them that was due for renewal at £149.99 or cancel, which would also cost £149.99. My father is vulnerable as they
We had a package today which had to be signed for saying we were a valued consumer & thanking us for choosing their service. A home appliance protection plan that we have never subscribed to. Tried to ring them but got a message there was a problem with the number. It's a scammer of some sort
