The lady on the telephone insisted they needed to urgently check my Aviva cover details. I discovered it suspicious, especially since I hadn't initiated any such request. When I asked her to ring myself back on my landline, which Aviva would have on file, they abruptly ended the ring without any further communication. This behavior raised red flags for me, & I strongly suspect it was a scammer ring attempting to obtain my personal information.

This was a lady saying that they need to settle a hospital bill. This cannot be real, I haven't been to hospital in a long time.

Cleared as soon as my answer machine kicked in. A scammer or cold call. Either way it's someone who doesn't obey the TPS. Block them.

Telephone rang this morning, they said they had gotten our telephone numbers from Hospital and GP. Tried to get us to sign up for new Red button ring out alarm as landlines are to be closed down. We terminated the ring when they started asking what bank we used.
The sound of a ring center in the background hung up on me.
They said they were Amazon, but Amazon don't have my home telephone numbers. I hang up as I think it's a scammer.
