AI / automatic ring BT re fraudulent Internet activity

Called at 08:23 on 20th March 2024. It was a spoofed numbers from an international ring centre. Apparently they were calling from Microsoft about error codes they received from my pc - yes, it's that old chestnut back again. The lady with a south Asian accent hang up when I pointed out they was trying to scammer me.

A.I or pre-recorded message... electricity company scam.

claim to be from BT regarding "illegal activity" on my internet connection. Called his bluff re disconnecting myself before they hang up

They claim to be HM Revenue and Customs using pre-recorded message to action legals threats about outstanding debt.

They are calling about buying any used vehicles. We are not wanting to sell ours now.

A gentleman named David, state affiliation with O2, offered a 30% discount but insisted on receiving a security alert message & a 6-digit pin. Sensing a potential scam, the recipient promptly disconnected the call.

Said he's from O2 & giving myself a 40% discount. I got two SMS messages with 1 time code. When I said what are you going to do with the info I give, they went silent.

Received a ring state to be from 3 mobile. Upon mentioning I wasn't with Three, the telephoner stated they were aware but could offer cheaper deals on behalf of 'we.' Opting for caution, I hang up.

When I picked the ring nobody answered.

re:accident I had in last 2 years! I told him (Asian voice) I have had no collision wound him up a bit & they told myself to f**k myself. Blocked & barred!

Another different numbers from this pondlife. Solar Panel SCAM. On no account give out your private details.

Said they are a mobile company & they represent O2, & can give myself a better deal than my current contract, I just need to answer some questions first. Sounds dodgy, & I don't want to move to O2.

Unclear phoneline - John from EE trying to offer an upgrade to an iPhone.....said I was happy with my current phone. they asked what I was using & hang up when I said they should know if they has my record.

I just blocked 2 numbers last week, they seem to have a new 1 each day. Cold caller! Obvious scammer.

It is a scammer or nusiance ring do not answer. No idea. Likely to be a fraud.

The call was made and then there was no ability to return the ring.

Called this morning, I found out my telephone was spammed with spam and I didn't answer.

Someone from Cardiff tried to call me five times, wanting personal details.

Is there a foreign ring centre in the area?

I got a call from a male with an Asian sounding accent and the numbers showed up as Cardiff. I couldn't make sense of what they were saying to explain why they were calling, so they hung up. Might have been a telecom ring centre.

Marketing is important!

Scammer or spoof ring often rings barred again, making it difficult to determine who is calling.

I redialled the numbers the pre-recorded message said I had reached British Transport Police.

The fraudsters spam.

After staying inaudible, I put the telephone down on myself.

I asked them how much arrears I was in and they hung up on me.

Quick question before answered.

I was asked by a person on the phone if I was interested in investment, but I said no and closed the call. I'm concerned that it may have been a UK home telephone number that got my mobile number. I rate the potential fraud as four stars.

This number advised me that a foreign Western Union account had submitted a request for £600. They had blocked the transfer & I should press one to connect to them. I hung up.

Management has not paid the management fee.

Telephone annoyances are becoming more common.

Telephone logs show numbers had called, but are undisclosed to me.

I did not know who this number was, but I called it back and it called me back, and then it called me and it called me back. I then went to an answer telephone, "thank you for calling Welsh government".

Do they state that they are Virgin Media? My internet doesn't work there.
