Just had an automatic ring from this local numbers state to be from my bank. They did not say what bank it was & wanted myself to press one to cancel a has reported money sent to Amazon & press two to talk to a member of staff, turned telephone off. It was almost 100% a scammer call. Checked my account & no undisclosed payments made.
First called at 8:50am. I checked the numbers on your wonderful & very helpful site and, based on what other fellow sufferers reported, I blacked the numbers (03333 440000) without any further hesitation using my CPR ring Blocker. At 9:26am there was a very brief ring on my telephone from the same telephoner number. My ring blocking intercepted the blacked numbers & straight away disconnected it. So it's bye bye to the SMS Messaging Service which service I did not request in the first place
