The Fraud Tracker's pre-recorded session notes indicate that the young person would not answer straight questions about who they were calling from or who employed them. The questions were repeated numerous times. The only SMS response was "My name is Ian. We are an electricity company HUB". This was repeated numerous times.

I received a call from this number and it was an automated message saying it was from my bank. The message said that I needed to authorize two bank transactions made from abroad by pressing one to authorize and two to cancel. I didn't do anything and just hung up.

A scammer sent a message to my mother, pretending to be me, and asking her to WhatsApp my new number. Please be careful of this kind of scam. I'm not sure, but I think this is using a WhatsApp backdoor vulnerability attack to gain access to the victim's phone.
