After I heard the foreign voice trying to tell me my computer had been hacked, I began to worry.
harring.
I am not sure I am careful.
automatic recording purporting to be income and customs receipts is being made.
After answering the phone, someone shouted "aaak" and hung up.
SAID CALLING FROM BT ABOUT INTERNET SPEED, NOT A BT NUMBER.
Phoned off as soon as I answered the call, 2 days in succession and then called back.
A ring center of some sort is clearly a clear indication of its importance.
Claim to be from BT telling me that my internet settings had been changed from Private to Public, but they could not fix it for me. I did not trust the call.
I don't know what this was about. & I don't know where numbers originated.
I don't know the numbers you're referring to, but I've called you and hung up on you. It's a bit spooky.
This number was on my Vodafone bill and it was listed as directory enquiries. I apparently phoned it for three seconds and got charged 15p.
BT technician detected a fault on my broadband, so they wanted to access my pc to resolve it. I told them I would report to BT direct later, as it was inconvenient just then.
They always call from numbers 0800 on home telephone & mobile & when do 1471 they cone up as 02 London number. They are all scams & very dangerous. Do not talk & hung up.
Person called, mentioning that they were from Clements & would help with getting our business rates reduced. I smelled a rat from the offset. I asked the person's name and company - they said Dominic from Clements Agency. I started firing questions at myself but I stopped him and asked for his web URL,
I called back the number I missed and found out it might be a scam. There was a pre-recorded message saying the user was not available. My telephone account would not show if I had been charged for a premium rate ring until tomorrow. If I had been, I would have reported it.
The BT OpenReach lairs are not fraudsters putting on to be OpenReach; they are actually lairs where they can do business.
