This morning, I called a 0950 number and the telephoner said they were from BT but their accent was so difficult to decipher, I told them I couldn't make sense of them and they ended the call. I think it was a scammer.

Although numbers not known to me seem to suggest it's a banking fraud scammer, I'm not sure if it's actually a scam. It's an automatic call, offering you to select to talk with someone supposedly from your bank. I'm sure it's to gather phishing info or fleece your account

Someone called me from this phone number saying that my National cover numbers would be cancelled if I did not confirm something. I just got curious to find out what that was all about & pressed 1 of the options, but the connection was so poor that the person who picked up the telephone just hung up. I guess
