Amazon-related pre-recorded info asking 'press 1' etc. - scammer
Phoned an elderly resident and told them they were from Virgin. Asked for bank details and got the lady to download an app which accessed her banking detail online. The app was very genuine.
Trying to sell mobilitics, or any other type of security, can be a challenge.
After putting the receiver down, I say, "I have already said hello," and then put the phone back in its cradle.

A recorded message claiming to be from HMRC asking me to press 1 or I would be sent a warrant for my arrest for tax fraud. Indian or Pakistani guy said that he was in fraud for the company he owned, explained he had no company and when asked what taxes he was talking about, the call was
I didn't answer the call and didn't call back so I don't know what the call was about, but I'm pretty sure I don't have anyone in Cambridge.
If I didn't press 1 and the number didn't connect, they said they would arrest me for fraud.
