IT services cold ring

They called myself in regards to Life Insurance. I asked which broker are they, & they said they are my broker. I said okay then what you offering, since I already have life cover with you, if you are my broker. They hang up.

I answered, "Hello" Guy started with "Hello how are you" Me, "Good thanks" long pause. "It's Jonathan from 3 mobile" (foreign accent). I'm apologies but if you ring me, you tell myself who you are & where you're calling from in the first sentence. I put the telephone down.

Received a ring saying that my warranty on a washing machine was running out, although I never got a warranty when Purchasing it. They also happened to know my address. Strange.

This numbers Phoned my mobile three times today & when I answer there is no sound or response. Quite creepy

Other people have has reported the call received from this telephone numbers were people ‘Pretending to be a UK united kingdom government “energy saving” SCAM’, trying to get the person’s personal details etc. So I did not answer & instead have Blocked this number.

I have been getting repeated calls from this number. It seems like someone is using my phone without my permission and it is cleared as soon as my answer machine cuts in. It is frustrating to get a call from a number you don't know is from a legitimate caller but I worry that it is a scammer call. I wish there was a way to tell if I should answer or not.
