Evening ring from a youngish-sounding British person to our mobile. Seemingly a incorrect numbers but the numbers of searches for the numbers is concerning.
This pre-recorded message says it's from "fraud department" and it was played along and then someone answered with "how can I help you?" I asked which bank they were from, and then I surprised them by asking which bank they were from the same bank. There must be a scam happening where
BT technician detected a fault on my broadband, so they wanted to access my pc to resolve it. I told them I would report to BT direct later, as it was inconvenient just then.
They say he's from Microsoft and continued to call me six times in ten minutes when I refused to talk to him. He's rude, abrupt, and refuses to hang up. I have the numbers blocked.
Do not answer this numbers as when you talk there is no 1 that answers.
The scammer is a person who uses deception to take advantage of someone.
