Telephone rang. 4.45pm! I answered the call and it went dead. Luton Area? I don't have any contacts in that area!
01224980076 I rang the cold call centre but the line was bad and the person said something unintelligible and hung up when I spoke.
I had a ring from this number. My call are screened, so they have to tell me who they are. A person said, "Virgin Money." I don't deal with Virgin. They turned the ring off.
Claim to be Google Maps. Some chap with a US accent asked about our opening hours, ignored what I was saying, and possibly an automatic call.

I am missing my ring on my mobile phone. I tried to ring them back in case they were important but got a pre-recorded message that this numbers does not accept outgoing ring.
When I checked my recent call my phone dialled the numbers & I got a pre-recorded message stating the name of the enterprise & giving advice if I wanted to stop promotion calls. However, the announcement was brief, spoken quickly but obviously by a person voice & none of the info was recognised nor understood.
I was phished - they said I was their mother with new telephone numbers as their telephone no longer works and put them into my telephone list.
The person speaking Indian-accented voice said they were from Microsoft and that their computer had had many faults. They wanted me to turn on my computer to "whatever" and when I refused, they put the telephone down immediately.
The person named Alex said they were from Boston and that their internet connection was "about my internet connection." They then clarified it was "about my internet connection," and probably a scammer. They were polite, but the person is unlikely to be who they claim.
Questionable 01206 numbers that have started ringing on mobile. Never answer as unknowns are blocked from calling etc. There must be some sort of scammer going on as this isn't the only numbers added to this area code & on checking they're all from the same area. Be cautious about answering these numbers
Someone trying to sell themselves a telephone contract for £40 per month for unlimited call texts, data, and calls anywhere in the world.
