Telephoner with a foreign accent said they were from BT and they needed to follow some instructions, when I asked why they were not calling from a BT numbers and was this a scam, they hung up. I ordered a DSL filter from Amazon which was delivered yesterday.

I called a 0950 this morning and the telephoner said they were from BT but their accent was so difficult to decipher, I told them I couldn't make sense them and they ended the call. I think it may have been a scammer.

Though I don't know the numbers, it seems as if this is a banking fraud scammer as it's an automatic call, offering you to select to talk with someone who supposedly works for your bank. It's likely that they are gathering phishing info or fleecing your account, so be careful!

Someone called me from this phone number saying that my National cover numbers would be cancelled if I did not confirm something. I just got curious to find out what that was all about & pressed 1 of the options, but the connection was so poor that the person who picked up the telephone 1 the other side just hung
