Password Phone calls
call in the morning I leave answer telephone on, no message left. Caught it this morning Asian voice. Telling myself my password had been used reportingly from BT I ask for telephoner numbers gave my 0800 numbers told the telephoner to dispatch a letter as I do not follow instructions on phone. Told myself they would turned my internet of & dispatch a letter. I do not have internet. scammer call.
cover for appliances. Smart Cover Solutions telephoned myself on this number. A salesman who gave his name as Luke Smith trying to sell kitchen appliance cover cover. they had my name, address, bank details, password?, kitchen appliances. Not all the info was true, & I did not enlighten him what was true & what wasn’t. they said they could reduce the cover by 40%, I pay on my washing machine. I do not have any cover on it! I told him I was contacting bank fraud department.
I got an Asian Voice, told myself they is from BT & I had a serious breech of my interned & data & could I give him my password to reset everything! told him I did not have BT as my provider & I did not use the internet. I then got a tirade of abuse & when I said I will ring the police, they said go ahead & continued to dish out abuse. The person told myself they were from sky & it was regarding my internet connection . I told them I would not give out my passwords or be clicking on any links in my pc as too many scammers state to be from this company & said if I need to talk to sky I will telephone them myself. Then I hang up.
Frard, they txt my wife, putting on to be from Lloyds Bank. They txt asking had we tried to pay on a new device(mobile). No we had not...so my wife pressed the txt message & it asks her to log into her bank account. Obviously, Lloyds would NEVER EVER ask for this info by txt. Its a sufisticated scammer where they are just getting your passwords etc...so they can log into YOUR PRIVATE BANK ACCOUNT... Please NEVER GIVE BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS TO ANYBODY.., you can always ring Lloyds Bank yourself
01489 879246 scammer telephoner pertaining to be from BT open Reach stating I had a corrupt router. Told him the only thing that was corrupt was the ring they was making. The guy hang up! clearly they wanted to get access to my computer to scammer my bank account or take any passwords, login details!
scammer Saying they are calling from virgin media, about our slow Internet router. They will proceed to ask you to download a software on your computer & then steal any banking details & passwords. We end up having 10 of these call a day, it's so frustrating. I end up laughing & saying some choice words or going along putting on I'm doing what they are asking. SCAM, called putting on to be Virgin media saying that people were accessing our internet once they started to ask certain questions I became sceptical. Scam... Asian accent.... claim to be from my telephone provider... & wanted myself to log on & give them passwords ext... Didn't know my name or any details.... Kept them talking as long as possible to stop them doing it to others.... They then told myself to f off
person with a foreign accent, claim they was from Virgin Media. Told myself there had been suspicious activity on my pc & asked myself if I had given my password to anyone else. When I said no, they said they would be cutting my internet off. I began to reply, but they disconnected the call. Had a few call like this from these people recently, from different numbers, & I am fed up with it.
Had a ring from an foreign person who tried to explain that there was a security issue with my IP address. they then wanted to explain in more detail the effect by accessing my computer. This is patently a scammer where they demonstrate to those ignorant of computers like myself that some perfectly acceptable things going on in my pc are a problem & they can fix it if you give them access to your computer. scammer A SMS message telling myself somebody was trying to use a bank card, if it wasn’t myself to login to the bank account via IDs and passwords. As it seem to come from a Lloyds bank account and I do not have a Lloyds bank account I assume this is some such of scammer to obtain my passwords or Id’s.
